Donald Trump Heidi Klum

During a weekend interview with The New York Times, Donald Trump managed to work in a dis against Heidi Klum.

Trump, 69, declared that the 42-year-old supermodel was "no longer a 10."

"Sometimes I do go a little bit far — Heidi Klum. Sadly, she’s no longer a 10," the Republican presidential hopeful said when talking about how he "can survive dissing John McCain and rating Heidi Klum when that would be a death knell for someone like Scott Walker."

Klum heard the feedback loud and clear, and responded by posting a video shrugging off the dis.

In the video, a man wearing a Donald Trump mask rips off the "10" on Klum's shirt to reveal a "9.99" rating.

Heidi Klum Donald TrumpKlum posted the video on all of her social-media accounts with the caption:"#TrumpHasSpoken #sadly #9.99 #NoLongerA10 #IHadAGoodRun #donaldtrump #trumped #HeidiTrumpsTrump #BeautyIsInTheEyeOfTheBeheld"

The Facebook comments have been overwhelmingly in support of Klum and against "bully" Donald Trump:

Trump Klum comments
After previously bashing Fox News' Megyn Kelly as "not very tough and not very sharp," Trump tried to defend his treatment of women in the same Times interview that he dissed Klum, saying: "I have many women executives and they are paid at least as much as the men. I find women to be amazing."

We arrived at the red carpet around 8:40 p.m., and VIPs started coming in at 9. Designer Marc Bouwer, who has been coming to Klum's celebration for years, was one of the first to arrive. Bouwer and his guest were decked out in lavish gold-shimmering costumes from head to toe. We immediately knew we were in for some crazy costumes that evening.

Not everyone was dressed elaborately — some opted for simpler costumes, like this cat and maid.

Christian Siriano, designer and winner of "Project Runway" Season 4, showed up early on with boyfriend Brad Walsh. The two were dressed as Picasso paintings, adorned in painted faces and picture frames.

Heidi Klum reveals the workouts she does to stay fit as a mother of 4 kids

The INSIDER Summary:

• Heidi Klum says she stays fit by playing with her kids.
• She credits bike rides, hiking, and jumping on the trampoline for staying fit.
• She also eats healthy so she can live a better life.

Heidi Klum has been one of the most beloved supermodels in the world for over a decade (and she also has killer Halloween costumes). But obviously as a mother of four, finding time for herself to exercise and eat well can be a challenge.

Speaking with Shape magazine for its December 2016 cover story, 43-year-old Klum describes how she manages to stay active despite her very busy schedule.

"I don't have time for workouts every day," Klum told the magazine. "Being the mother of four kids is a workout in itself! Balancing my work and their schedules makes it hard to find time for a traditional exercise routine, so we try to do as many outdoor activities as a family as possible."

As for what those activities are, Klum said: "We love to go on bike rides, take our dogs hiking, or jump on the trampoline."

"That's the best way to stay fit and healthy," she added. "Do things that don't feel like work."

Heidi Klum

Aside from staying in constant motion, Klum says she tries to eat healthy, too.

"The myth that models don't eat is totally not true," she told Shape. "I just think that because we're in this business, we have to choose more wisely. It's not just about doing the cardio so that you're nice and fit, and slim and trim, but your heart needs to pump, too, and that is very important."

And though staying motivated, active, and eating right can be a challenge, she says that she thinks "big picture" and reminds herself that it's all in an effort to "live a better and healthier life."

"I love my shape because it's mine," she said. "At the end of the day, it's not what anyone else thinks about my body but how I feel about myself. I'm working it and owning it!"

These are Heidi Klum's favorite beach destinations

Heidi Klum

Supermodel, television personality, and businesswoman Heidi Klum does a lot of traveling.

Travel + Leisure recently caught up with Klum at the launch of her recent swimwear line to ask her about some of travel favorites and secrets, including where she loves to go for a beach getaway.

So what were Klum’s top two picks?

The Maldives

Bungalows Sitting on the Water Maldives

With its crystal-clear waters, the Maldives has become known as one of the world’s top diving destinations, with an entire underwater world of colorful marine life.

“The Turks and Caicos and the Maldives have some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to,” Klum told T+L. “The oceans are so blue and the water is so clear.”

With 26 atolls, the Maldives offer a variety of unique attractions, from an underwater spa to a restaurant in a treehouse where open-aired pods sit connected via pathways and bridges 20 feet in the air. The nation was also named the world's best spa destination by the World Travel Awards, but the most known feature may be the over-the-water villas.

“The Maldives are magical because they have these amazing hotels with huts so you’re right out in the middle of the ocean,” said Klum. “It’s so peaceful.”

Interested in hotels where you’ll find these accommodations? Check out Gili Lankanfushi, where you can stay in residences that stand in the middle of the Indian Ocean with your very own private motorized boat and overwater hammock, or to COMO Cocoa Island, where the 33 suites and villas are inspired by local dhoni fishing boats connected by planked walkways overlooking a lagoon.

Turks and Caicos

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos

With more than 230 miles, the islands of Turks and Caicos offer white sands and coral reefs. For Klum, the destination’s beaches are ideal for vacationing with her children.

“Turks and Caicos has really shallow waters off the beach, so it’s great for my kids to play in,” she said.

Besides the beaches, the area has family-friendly accommodations like Somerset on Grace Bay, which includes sand-castle-building lessons, a telescope tower to gaze at the stars, and a swimming pool with ocean views complete with an underwater sound system.

Celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Sean "Diddy" Combs, and Naomi Campbell were among those who received warning letters from the FTC in April over sponsored Instagram posts, Women's Wear Daily reports.

The 90 letters — which were obtained by WWD's Alexandra Steigrad — were sent to 45 celebrities and the brands they were promoting. The warnings marked the first time the FTC had reached out directly to social media influencers.

The letters were intended to clarify the type of language used to state the post was sponsored (like #ad) and where in the caption it should say that.

"Consumers viewing Instagram posts on mobile devices typically see only the first three lines of a longer post unless they click 'more,' which many may not do," the FTC said when the letters were initially sent in April

Heidi Klum just gave a huge boost to a company that should terrify Target and TJ Maxx

Heidi Klum Lidl

Heidi Klum is giving a huge boost to the German supermarket Lidl as it embarks on its US launch this month.

The 44-year-old supermodel is releasing a fashion line exclusively at Lidl stores in partnership with its US division, the company said Tuesday.

It appears to be Klum's first full fashion line since her activewear launch with New Balance in 2010, though she has released limited lingerie and swimwear lines since then.

Lidl says the line will be "high-end, yet affordable... making the range accessible for everyone."

"At Lidl, we believe high-quality fashion should be attainable for everyone and we look forward to sharing this collection with our customers later this year," Lidl US chief commercial officer Boudewijn Tiktak said.

Lidl is opening its first US stores this month in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

The chain has an aggressive expansion plan in the US that includes adding another 80 stores along the East Coast by the middle of next year, and eventually as many as 600 stores across the US, according to company documents obtained by Business Insider. Lidl currently has 10,000 stores in 27 European countries.

Lidl, which has described itself as a cross between Trader Joe's and Harris Teeter, is known for its low prices and private-label goods. But unlike those stores, the chain sells clothing alongside its food items — making it a potential threat to Target and off-price chains like TJ Maxx and Nordstrom Rack, which frequently feature celebrity collaborations.

LidlIn a release announcing the partnership, Klum stated, "Lidl is known for making quality products at affordable prices and I’m proud to partner with them on this fashion collaboration. I had so much fun designing the pieces in this collection and can’t wait for you to see it. I hope you love it as much as I do."

Klum, who was born in Germany, rose to fame through a successful modeling career that began in the 1990s and later as the host and judge of Germany's Next Topmodel and the reality show Project Runway. She is also an actress, author, and television producer.

The collection — which includes leopard-print blazers, pants, and booties, super-skinny jeans, and leather bomber jackets — will debut at a New York Fashion Week runway show in early September.

The items will hit the German chain's US stores two weeks later on September 21. They will cost between $6.99 and $29.99.

It will be Klum's first full fashion line since her activewear launch with New Balance in 2010

Lidl says the line, which will correspond with a new marketing tagline, "let's wow," is aimed at making "high-end fashion attainable for anyone."

Lidl is started opening its first US stores in June in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

The chain has an aggressive expansion plan in the US that includes opening 100 stores along the East Coast by the middle of next year, and eventually as many as 600 stores across the US, according to company documents obtained by Business Insider. heidi klum halloween costume 2017

The INSIDER Summary:

  • Heidi Klum is famous for going all out on Halloween.
  • She recently posed a series of Instagram videos teasing this year's look.
  • It's going to involve a lot of prosthetics.

Plenty of celebrities dress up in costumes on October 31, but nobody does Halloween like Heidi Klum. For the past 17 years, the supermodel has hosted a swanky Halloween party in New York City, dressing in a series of elaborate costumes. Last year, Klum raised the bar by showing up as herself — plus five models wearing prosthetic facial features to look like Heidi clones. The ensemble reportedly cost $10 million

This year, the pressure's on for Klum to outdo herself yet again. And thanks to a couple of Instagram videos Klum posted in mid-September, we already know that she's hard at work on her 2017 look.

"Ok Halloween .... lets get this party started," Klum captioned this video, which shows a time lapse of her hands being placed into a bright green slimy substance. It looks like she's making molds of her hands and forearms.

A post shared by Heidi Klum (@heidiklum) on

In the video she tagged Prosthetics Renaissance, the makeup and prosthetics effects company that's behind some of her most transformative looks. (They've also done work for movies like Black Swan and the Wolf of Wall Street.)

In the next video, Klum's hands are still trapped in the molds while one prosthetic artist snaps cell phone photos of It appears that there's a mask is in the works, too.

What am i going to be ? #heidiklumhalloween @mikefontaine_

In the third video, Klum appears to be wearing a red mouth guard that obscures her voice.

A post shared by Heidi Klum (@heidiklum) on

And in the final post, her left hand is freed from one of its molds.

A post shared by Heidi Klum (@heidiklum) on

In the comments sections of all four videos, fans offered guesses as to what the costume might be: the Grinch, the Incredible Hulk, Fiona from "Shrek," the Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Wicked Witch from "The Wizard of Oz," a mermaid, a frog, a lizard, a chameleon.

Most guesses stem from the fact the hand mold material is green. But we're not convinced that the final product will be green, too.

Take a look at this unrelated Instagram post from Prosthetics Renaissance. It shows face molds in a similar shade of green. Perhaps this indicates that one of the mold-making materials i just green by default. That could mean that the final product will be painted a different color.

A post shared by Mike Marino (@prorenfx) on

INSIDER scoured Prosthetics Renaissance's blog and social media for additional clues but came up empty handed. Odds are they won't reveal anything more than Klum does. Luckily, with only a few weeks left til Halloween, the wait for answers won't be long.

  • Heidi Klum is known for her creative Halloween costumes
  • Every year she debuts her latest look at her famous Halloween party.
  • This year, Klum chose an 80s throwback: She dressed as a werewolf character from Michael Jackson's music video for "Thriller."

Supermodel Heidi Klum is the undisputed queen of Halloween.

Since 2000, Klum has debuted her costumes during the exclusive Halloween party she hosts in New York City. In recent years, her looks have gotten really elaborate: She's been a giant butterfly, a chimpanzee, even a red-eyed robot on stilts. Last year, she arrived at the party as herself plus five identical Heidi clones — an ensemble that reportedly cost $10 million

On Tuesday, Klum finally revealed her 2017 look: the werewolf that appears in Michael Jackson's 1982 music video for "Thriller." (Watch the original video right here to see what inspired her.)

heidi klum halloween costume 2017 2

It's a costume Klum has been working on for a while. Back in September, she posted a series of Instagram videos showing a team of prosthetic artists creating green molds of her hands and forearms. Fans guessed that Klum might be dressing as the Grinch, the Incredible Hulk, or Fiona from "Shrek," but it turned out that that the green color had nothing to do with the costume — she was getting fitted for overgrown werewolf hands.

All day on October 31, Klum gave Instagram followers brief glimpses into her costume prep. At 3:30, she shared this snapshot of herself wearing what appeared to be horns:

The next hint featured fake teeth and furry ears, plus a couple makeup artists hard at work:

Just as fashion has undergone drastic changes throughout the years, the models who help bring the designs to life have evolved as well.

In the past, models were often a major factor in establishing society's standards of beauty. Now, as beauty standards become more inclusive, they're shaping the types of models we see making their way down the runway.

Here are 26 photos that show how models have evolved throughout the years.

Illustrator Charles Dana Gibson painted beautiful women in his "Gibson Girls" paintings from the 1900s.

Illustrator Charles Dana Gibson created the image of the "Gibson Girl" by observing various women in his daily life. One of the most famous models for the paintings was Camille Clifford, whose hourglass figure came to shape the ideal look for many American women.

The 1920s saw the rise of the Flapper, an image built on a more rebellious and free-spirited nature.

Flapper-style dresses — which often featured pleated skirts or fringe and feather detailing — and a sense of attitude came to dominate much of the imagery in the fashion industry.

Before traditional supermodels become popular, Hollywood stars were huge fashion icons from the 1930s through to the 1950s. Marilyn Monroe was especially influential in the '50s.

Monroe became a movie star in the 1950s after a series of small modeling gigs led to her big break.

  • During her recent appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show,"Heidi Klum talked about the criticism she received after debuting her new lingerie line.
  • The model made it clear that despite being in her forties, she is planning on continuing her career for as long as possible, defying ageist critics who think she is too old.
  • Klum stated that women who are in their later years can still feel sexy without others trying to bring them down.

Heidi Klum, 44, has no plans to slow down her modeling career! In an empowering, new interview, the "America’s Got Talent" judge discussed the backlash she received after modeling her own line of lingerie, Heidi Klum Intimates. “Sometimes people say, ‘You’re 44, you’re turning 45. Why are you not giving the baton to someone else?’” she explained Ellen DeGeneres, 60, on the February 26 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."“But I always think there are a lot of women my age, fifties, sixties, seventies, what? Do we have an expiration date? Can we not also still feel sexy?” she continued.

“Why do we always have to see twenty-year-olds or thirty-years-olds doing campaigns?” Heidi proclaimed. She then confirmed what we were all hoping — She proudly declared that she’s staying in the modeling game for good! “I’m still doing it,” the former Victoria’s Secret model said. Heidi appeared in the sixth campaign for her lingerie line in August 2017. Heidi originally launched Intimates in 2015 after her longtime run as a Victoria’s Secret Angel and "Sports Illustrated" Swimsuit cover girl. (Click here to see photos from Heidi’s lingerie line!)

Heidi — who’s a mother to four; Leni, 13, Henry, 12, Johan, 11, and Lou, 8 — told Ellen that she’s never felt sexier in the skin she’s in at 44. And, just a heads up … she’s single! Heidi confirmed that she and Vito Schnabel, 31 — an art curator and dealer — were over in September 2017. “I believe that it is important to take time to pause and reflect,” Heidi told "PEOPLE" in an exclusive statement, revealing the rumors about their relationship were true.

  • Heidi Klum appeared on the cover of Ocean Drive magazine and spoke candidly about her thoughts on body image.
  • Klum said that growing up in Germany, her parents used to take her to nude beaches and campsites, and that contributed to a healthy view of her own body.
  • The model added that she "grew up very comfortable with my body and very free."

Heidi Klum is speaking out about her unique upbringing in Germany and how her parents impacted the way she feels about her own body.

In a cover story for Ocean Drive magazine, the 45-year-old "Project Runway" executive producer  and host opted for a swimsuit from her Heidi Klum Swim collection and shared details about where she got her confidence from.

"I grew up in a very free environment with my parents," Klum explained. "We'd go to nude beaches. We're very open-minded, but you can't say that about all Germans."

In addition to visiting nude beaches, Klum said that she also traveled to nude campsites. Eventually, she got used to seeing naked bodies.

"We didn't have a lot of money, so we'd go camping a lot and my parents chose nude campsites, so nudity became normal for me. You stand out more if you cover up. And I loved it."

The mother of four went on to say that being in those kinds of environments led her to feel more at ease with her figure.

"I grew up very comfortable with my body and very free, and I tend to not wear a whole lot of swimsuit when I'm sunbathing," she said. "So I usually go for a tie-string bikini, something that has less coverage, and if no one is around, I'll wear only the bottom. Of course, if there are people around I will cover up."

Klum added that despite being body shamed by others, she has learned to put the comments past her.

"I learned over the years that you can't please everyone, and you shouldn't," she said. "At the end of the day, you have to be happy with who you are from the inside out. That's ultimately the only thing that matters."

Aside from her roles on "Project Runway," Klum is also a judge on NBC's "America's Got Talent." Klum has three children from her previous marriage to singer Seal and a daughter from her relationship with Flavio Briatore.

Heidi Klum shuts down mom-shamers who criticize her for letting her daughters wear heels

Heidi Klum

  • Heidi Klum occasionally allows her daughters, who are 8 and 14 years old, to wear heels.
  • Klum told Elle that "people get upset" with her choice to allow her daughters to wear heels.
  • The model explained that she allows her children to dress however they like, as long as "they're good kids and get good grades."

Heidi Klum is ruthless. Whether she’s making designers cry on "Project Runway" or keeping a stone-cold face on "America’s Got Talent," the 45-year-old isn’t here for nonsense, which is why, when she learned that some people (ahem, mommy-shamers, ahem) were criticizing her for her daughters’ choices to wear heels, she knew she had to shut them down.

The former Victoria’s Secret model took aim at her mommy-shamers in an interview with Elle, in which she opened up about the criticism that she has faced as a mom for allowing her 14-year-old daughter Helene and 8-year-old daughter Lou to wear heels. “People get upset, especially in Germany, if they see my daughters wearing high heels. Big deal!” Klum said.

Clapping back at the criticism, Klum explained that her daughters only wear heels for special occasions and are usually only in them for the small walk from the car to the restaurant. She also pointed out that her daughters’ choice to wear heels is theirs, so why do so many people care?

“If we go to a restaurant, they like to get dressed up. It’s fun for them,” Klum said. “So what if they hobble on their little heels for 20 steps from the car to the restaurant? As long as they’re good kids and they get good grades, they can wear what they want to wear.

Klum is right. As a parent to four children, there are a lot more important things to care about than her daughters wearing heels. Instead of policing her kids’ choices and Klum’s ability as a parent, perhaps mommy-shamers can use that time to stay off the internet and realize that Klum — and many celebrity moms — don’t give two cents about what parenting advice they have to give.
